Assistant Professor Dr. Damrongphon Inchan, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University is cordially invited from the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam to participate to International Seminar on “Recent Archaeological Pursuits in Burial Traditions of South Asia and South East Asia” on 25th and 26th May 2024 at Dichang Resort, Sonapur, Guwahati, Assam, India. On 25th May 2024 the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam inaugurated the 2- Day International Seminar on “Recent Archaeological Pursuits in Burial Traditions of South Asia and South East Asia.”
During this Shri Y.S. Rawat Director General Archaeological Survey of India graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Mr. Ranjan Sharma, ACS, Commissioner & Secretary to the Govt. Of Assam, Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture Department gave the welcome address. The Guest of Honour for this session was Shri Janhwij Sharma, Additional Director General (Conservation, World Heritage, NCF) Archaeological Survey of India and Distinguished Guest was Dr. Anura Manatunga, Professor, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and Dr. S.K. Manjul Additional Director General (Archaeology, Iconic Site) Archaeological Survey of India.
During this seminar Prof. J.N. Phukan Eminent Historian presented the keynote address.
