Inherit and integrate of the knowledge of Epigraphic Studies.

Purpose

Doctor of Philosophy program in Thai and Oriental Epigraphy is Thailand’s only doctoral degree course which emphasizes study, research and inheritance of Epigraphy and ancient document knowledge and integrates it into the learning of languages, literature, culture, medicine and sciences of Thailand and Southeast Asia where human resources in this field of study is extremely inadequate.

Objectives

To produce moral doctors of philosophy following educational and professional ethics, specializing in reading, analyzing, critizing and conducting a research in Epigraphy and ancient documents written in Thai, Sanskrit and Khmer and gaining expertise in integrating the disciplinary of Epigraphy and Ancient Documents into other fields of study.
