Significance

The primary objective of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Sanskrit is to cultivate expertise in Sanskrit, emphasizing research in language, literature, philosophy, religion, and culture. The program aims to produce individuals with profound comprehension in these areas, thereby promoting and safeguarding the national culture. Furthermore, it seeks to enhance understanding of the people and demographics of Southeast Asia, enabling the development of cultural values that can generate economic value.

Objectives

1. To cultivate doctorate individuals who possess the expertise to comprehend and interpret the Sanskrit language and its literary works at an advanced level.
2. To develop a program that imparts doctorate degrees for cultivating individuals possessing the expertise to succinctly encapsulate and generate scholarly Sanskrit research discoveries.
3. To produce doctorates capable of connecting and managing Sanskrit knowledge and integrating it with other fields of study (Inter-discipline).
4. To produce doctorates who can use their understanding of Sanskrit to build a new set of knowledge that is on par with the international level.
